Why Portugal?
Portugal combines our love for travel and Europe with beautiful scenery, romantic architecture, and vibrant culture. We wanted our wedding to be a chance to explore somewhere special and make lasting memories with our favorite people. We can't wait to celebrate our Indian traditions in this beautiful setting and begin our next chapter surrounded by all of you!
When are the events?
On August 6, 2027, we'll begin with a morning Haldi, followed by an evening Sangeet. On August 7, we'll celebrate our wedding ceremony in the morning and reception in the evening. Exact times will be shared closer to the celebration.
Where are the events?
We're keeping the venues a secret for a little longer! We can't wait to share the beautiful places we've chosen - stay tuned for the reveal.
When should I arrive and leave?
We recommend arriving on August 4 or 5, 2027, to settle in and allow extra time for any flight delays or travel disruptions before the celebrations begin on the morning of August 6. Plan to depart on August 8 or later, as our reception will take place on the evening of August 7. If you can, stay a little longer to explore Portugal!
What is the dress code?
- Haldi
- Yellow Indian attire or dresses.
- Sangeet
- Indian attire in bright, vibrant colors - think lehengas, sarees, and kurtas!
- Wedding
- Traditional Indian attire. The color palette will be announced soon.
- Reception
- Formal Indian attire or cocktail attire in rich, dark colors.
What will the weather be like?
Plan for warm, sunny summer days. Pack sunscreen, and we'll share a forecast closer to the wedding.
Will meals be provided?
Yes! We'll provide meals at all of our events. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
How will we get to the venues?
We'll be providing transportation to the venues! Stay tuned for pickup locations, schedules, and other details. Please pay close attention to the transportation instructions so you're in the right place at the right time.
Where should we stay?
We recommend staying at EPIC SANA Marquês in Lisbon's city center, where the bride and groom will also be staying. This hotel will serve as the primary pickup location for guest transportation. We'll share a booking link and information about discounted room rates soon!
We'll also provide information about nearby hotel options. With our hotel's central location, there are accommodations nearby at a range of price points to suit different budgets.
